About Sasquatch Index
Most shoe shops stop at size 12 or 13, or they list a big size and turn out to be sold out of it. Sasquatch Index exists to answer one question for people with big feet: where can I get this shoe, in my size, right now.
What the site does
- It lists men’s shoes in size 13 and up, with width where the retailer gives it.
- Each listing shows a picture and a price, and the whole card is a link to the retailer that has the shoe.
- It sells nothing. There is no cart, no account and no mailing list.
Where the listings come from
- Every listing comes from a product feed that a retailer publishes through an affiliate network. Nothing is copied from shop websites by hand and nothing is scraped.
- A size is listed only when the retailer’s feed showed it in stock and for sale at the last daily check. A size that is missing from the feed is not listed.
- If a retailer’s feed stops updating for 30 days, that retailer’s shoes are taken off the site. They come back by themselves once the feed updates again. Showing an empty page is better than sending you to a sold-out one.
What the site does not do
- No scores, rankings or “top picks”. The site has not worn these shoes, so it does not pretend to judge them.
- No reviews written in anyone’s voice, and no claims that anyone tried a shoe.
- Nothing is placed higher because a retailer pays more. See the affiliate disclosure.
The reference guides
The sizing guide and the width guide are factual and free to use. They cover US, UK and EU sizes past 13 and what width letters such as 2E and 4E mean.
